Ingredients
- Broken rice (Pacharisi or Parboiled Rice) – 1 cup
- Water – 3 cups
- Green chilies – 2 (slit)
- Ginger – 1 tsp (finely chopped)
- Curry leaves – a few
- Mustard seeds – 1 tsp
- Split urad dal – 1 tsp
- Chana dal – 1 tsp
- Asafoetida (Hing) – a pinch
- Ghee or oil – 2 tbsp
- Salt – as needed
